Srinivas Seela, MD - Featured in Orlando's Doctors of the Year!
Founder and Medical Director Gastroenterologist in Central Florida
Dr. Seela moved to Orlando, Florida after finishing his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Yale University School of Medicine, one of the finest programs in the country. During his training he spent a significant amount of time in basic and clinical research, and has published numerous articles in Gastroenterology literature.

His interests include advanced and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, colorectal cancer screening, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), metabolic and other liver disorders.
Dr. Seela is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), and Crohn's Colitis Foundation (CCF).

In addition to being an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine, he is also a teaching attending physician at both the Florida Hospital Internal Medicine Residency and Family Practice Residence (MD and DO) programs. He is a regular contributing writer for Orlando Medical News and Spanish Magazine Tu Revista Mujer.

His interests include Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Metabolic and other liver disorders.

Dr. Harinath Sheela has served as the Chairman at Florida Hospital's Department of Gastroenterology. He is also an active member of the Orange County Medical Society and sits on the Board of Directors.

Marisa Christopher, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Marisa Christopher, PA-C, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and now resides in Orlando, Florida, her journey in the medical profession has been marked by continuous learning and dedication. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Radiology from Missouri State University and began her career as an X-ray technologist. To further enrich her expertise, she moved to Florida and graduated from Nova Southeastern University with high honors from the Physician Assistant school.

Marisa's experience and expertise extend beyond her work at GI Urgent Care of Florida. She is an active member of the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers association, Marisa is ever-evolving in her role, consistently improving her skills to offer superior medical care. Her contributions to GI Urgent Care of Florida have been instrumental in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, focusing predominantly on gastrointestinal concerns.

Juliana Avila, ARNP
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
Juliana D. Avila, Nurse Practitioner at GI Urgent Care of Florida, carries a rich experience of 8 years in the field or nursing. Born in Cúcuta, Colombia, and residing in the US for the past 24 years, Juliana has made a name for herself in the healthcare community. She holds an honor degree from Georgetown University, where she majored in Family Nursing Practice. Her commendable performance in clinical areas during her studies earned her recognition for nursing excellence.

Before her stint as a Nurse Practitioner, she served in cardiac ICU and post anesthesia care for 7 years, enriching her clinical expertise. Passionate about providing holistic and compassionate care to her patients, she believes in a patient-centered approach.

On a personal note, she is a doting mother to two girls. In her spare time, Juliana loves to stay active with workouts, dancing, and outdoor activities. Traveling also holds a special place in her heart, as it allows her to explore new cultures and experiences.
Braden Leek, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Braden Leek was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She received her bachelors degree in Health Science and Behavioral Science from the University of South Florida. Braden then continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando where she obtained her Masters in Physician Assistant studies.
She brings a diverse healthcare background, having previously worked as a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant. Armed with a fresh perspective she is now passionately navigating the dynamic field of Gastroenterology.
